NEW YORK, NY – AUGUST 27, 2012 - Jennifer Brown, CEO of Jennifer Brown Consulting (“JBC”), hosted a special plenary session interview with Jim Turley, CEO of Ernst & Young, live onstage during the NGLCC’s national conference earlier this month in Chicago. The NGLCC invited Ms. Brown to interview the long-time LGBT Ally and diversity advocate in front of a sold out crowd.
The 2012 NGLCC National Business & Leadership Conference was themed Certify your Success, focusing on supplier diversity for minority suppliers. As CEO of JBC, an NGLCC and WBENC certified boutique consulting firm, Jennifer is uniquely qualified to share insights into diverse supplier procurement practices.
The interview with Mr. Turley, conducted during a special lunchtime plenary session, focused on the ways in which he has invested in Diversity & Inclusion as a business driver at Ernst & Young, leading the company to its celebrated status as a leader in the field of LGBT supplier diversity, and support within the workplace.
According to CEO and Founder Jennifer Brown, “We were very grateful for the opportunity to interview Jim. Ernst & Young is at the forefront of the next wave of Diversity & Inclusion. Like JBC, Jim Turley and his company believe that LGBT engagement in the workplace has tangible, far-reaching impact.”
“Jim is a long-time LGBT ally and I was proud to share the stage with him during Certify Your Success 2012,” Ms. Brown continued.
JBC hopes to have a video version of Jennifer’s interview at the NGLCC conference to share with our clients soon. In the meantime, check out photos from the event on our Facebook Page and see the transcript of the interview below.
