NGLCC’s Ask the Experts: Jennifer Brown on ERGs and Supplier Diversity
NEW YORK, NEW YORK – MAY 18, 2012 – Jennifer Brown LLC (“JBC”), a boutique workplace consulting firm, today announced that on May 23, 2012, Founder Jennifer Brown will be moderating a one-hour teleconference as part of the National Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce’s (“NGLCC”) “Ask the Experts Teleconference Series”. The topic of this panel discussion, which will consist of procurement and diversity & inclusion professionals from some of America’s leading companies, PepsiCo, Johnson & Johnson and Aetna, is on successfully building the business case for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (“LGBT”) supplier diversity from the Employee Resource Group (“ERG”) perspective.
Ms. Brown, who serves as Advisor to the ERG Subcommittee of the NGLCC’s Corporate Advisory Council shared, “I am honored that the NGLCC has asked me to be a part of this series that will address best practices and key strategies when engaging and educating ERGs on the issue of supplier diversity. JBC will also be delivering on this important topic at both the NGLCC and Out & Equal National Summits later this year.”
The Ask the Experts Teleconference Series invites corporate supplier diversity representatives and LGBT employee resource group leaders to join supplier diversity experts from the NGLCC corporate partners to learn how companies can build an inclusive supplier diversity initiative that reaches and engages certified LGBT business enterprises.
The series provides insight from corporate supplier diversity leaders on building the business case for LGBT inclusion in supplier diversity programs, internal implementation, and how companies can expand or create their programs to be fully inclusive. Additional focus also includes LGBT supplier diversity programs in the legal industry through the NGLCC’s National Legal Partnership Program.
