Carl F. Simmons, Ph.D. is Executive Vice President and COO of Jennifer Brown Consulting (JBC), with primary responsibility for strategic planning and operational performance. In addition to his executive responsibilities at JBC, Dr. Simmons also handles selected engagements in strategic planning, organizational development, and executive coaching.
Dr. Simmons has been actively engaged in business and higher education for more than twenty-five years. His experience ranges from Sales Rep to Company President and from Teacher and Professor to College President. He has published multiple business articles, and presented seminars to more than 100,000 people throughout the United States and internationally. He has conducted more than 170 strategic planning retreats, and coached 100s of C-level executives in his business career.
He has published one book on Leadership and Management, The Power of Positive Management and is in the final stage of writing 6 Seeds of Greatness: The Making of a Champion. He also has written two other books: Pony Tales, a whimsical children’s story book; and Leisure in Our Changing Society.
Dr. Simmons completed his doctoral course work at New York University, and received his degree in management from Pacific Western University, He earned a graduate certificate in communications at Hofstra University, and his bachelors degree in education at Slippery Rock State College, where he was an All-American football player.
In addition to his 25 years in business and education, Dr. Simmons played professional football for the New York Giants organization/Long Island Bulls. Dr. Simmons is an active equestrian and environmentalist. He is also Chairman of the Equus & Equestrian Sport Foundation ( www.equusfoundation.com ), dedicated to supporting horses and riders in competition.
