Julnar Rizk, Senior Consultant
Julnar Rizk is a seasoned and passionate professional with a diverse background and 10+ years of professional experience in coaching, consulting, facilitation, instructor-led training design, and program managing in the areas of diversity and inclusion, leadership development, cultural competency, and communication.
As a JBC consultant, Julnar’s reliability and adaptability combine with her collaborative process to produce outstanding business results for any program. She is a subject matter expert in the areas of emerging global leader development, high-performing global team development, and the creation of inclusive workplace environments that support both. Her design and implementation of enhanced learning solutions provide awareness and skill building on topics including generations, gender, culture, and sexual orientation.
Julnar leverages a diverse professional background in her leadership coaching work, and her clients consistently report personal, professional, and promotional success. Her first career as a violinist assists her when coaching presentation and executive presence. Within the technology industry, Julnar has successfully coached leaders to leverage their own diverse backgrounds, broaden their strategic acumen and influence, and build capabilities for the effective management of global multinational teams
As a master facilitator, Julnar’s energetic and enthusiastic style engages participants to foster and synthesize learning both at an individual level and for the sake of organizational objectives. With over 500 hours of instructor-led training experience, she leverages her strong interpersonal skills to create interactive and long-term learning and action planning, so that participants can enhance their organizational roles and career paths.
Julnar also worked previously as a licensed physical therapist. During her management tenure at Kaiser Permanente, Julnar gained opportunities to mentor staff and spearhead process improvements for better inter-departmental cooperation, communication, and patient access. As a guest lecturer with the Kaiser Orthopedic Physical Therapy residency, and utilizing Kaiser Foundation research, Julnar designed and delivered communication skills instruction to PT residents learning to create successful patient-practitioner relationships particularly with culturally and linguistically diverse patients.
Personally, Julnar draws from her bi-cultural, multi-lingual background as a first-generation Syrian-American to enable her to practice and model emotional and cultural intelligence in diverse environments as well as adapt to a variety of value orientations existing in society. Her love of travel and the expansion of cultural horizons infuse her passion for fostering the creation of inclusive workplace environments where all people feel valued, welcomed, respected, and heard.
A certified professional coach since 2005, Julnar holds a Certificate in Learning and Organizational Change from Northwestern University, a Masters in Physical Therapy from East Carolina University, and an undergraduate degree in Chemistry from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. She has served as an executive coach at Linkage GILD and her certifications/licenses include the THT intercultural Assessment Profile and Hogan HDI, HDS, and MVPI assessments. Julnar has additional proficiencies with Linkage-LAI, HBDI, LSI, and Tracom Social Styles assessments.
