BETTER TOGETHER

Why does it seem increasingly difficult to be in conversation with each other? And, who’s missing from these conversations, as a result?

We are excited to announce the very first Better Together Conference, a series of conversations aimed to foster learning, connection, trust, and empathy that include both male leaders and other champions, with the intent of articulating a vision for true partnership that includes and enlists all of us.
The conference was born out of—and will continue to center—the idea that we need safe spaces devoid of shame and blame, to ask questions, practice, and learn how to have meaningful and authentic conversations that build bridges across differences. If we don’t, we’ll never have equitable and inclusive cultures where everyone can thrive.
"The whole conference was so impactful, a turning point, the exercises were great with the replacement of fear with love, that I cannot begin to compartmentalize."

Day One
Tools and Techniques to Activate Your Allyship
Being an inclusive leader requires an understanding of how to create trust and generate positive outcomes across differences, as well as the skills necessary to build safe spaces where everyone can contribute fully. For many, this is unfamiliar and sometimes intimidating territory, and avoidance of the topic and the perceived risks of engagement are barriers to much-needed development.
On Day 1 of the conference, we’ll provide the space and tools to reflect, learn, and create new pathways so that participants can feel more confident, resilient, and competent in conversations and actions that create more inclusive environments.
Day Two
Shape & Practice Your Story
Day 2 will provide a safe space to practice the tools and techniques learned on Day 1, guided by experienced facilitators. This will be a rare opportunity to exercise empathy muscles and utilize new language, learning with and through each others’ stories and experiences. Participants will roll up their sleeves and dig into simulated experiences derived from the day-to-day experience of an aspiring inclusive leader. They will leave with greater knowledge, familiarity, and comfort with their own leadership gaps and goals.
