    Director of Business Development

    John Mooney (he/him) brings over two decades of award-winning experience in business development, client relationship management and sales to his role as the Director of Business Development.  In his role at JBC, John is responsible for building relationships with prospective and current accounts by identifying and pairing them with our JBC solutions and our premier DEI consulting professionals who will support their efforts to advance inclusion.

    Prior to joining JBC, John has overseen client growth and operations as General Manager of Salvatore Ferragamo in both Seattle and Los Angeles and has held various leadership positions for retail brands such as Timberland, New Balance and Gap. These experiences have shaped his passion for building a strong client portfolio consisting of deep relationships and solutioning truly being at the center.

    John is passionate about solutions that enable a purpose-driven workforce fueled by diverse professionals that can thrive when having fair access to opportunities, equitable benefits, and ecosystems of belonging. He is committed to supporting organizations and its leaders to create transformational processes and systems that will benefit their employees, their customers, and their marketplace.

    John proudly supports the scholarship program of The GSBA, the largest LGBTQ+ chamber of commerce in Washington State. In 2019, he and his partner, Katie, were selected as the fundraising Co-Chairs of Equalux which raised over $1.7M in one evening for LGBTQ+ scholars.

    John resides in Seattle, WA with his partner, Katie and their English Bulldog, Lola.
