    Dr. Lizette Ojeda is a career psychologist and behavioral scientist specializing in evidence-based strategies to help diverse parents in STEM do their best work–without sacrificing their energy, family, or identity.  

    She is recognized by the Houston Business Journal 40 under 40 in 2020, and has been honored with Fellow status by the American Psychological Association for her diversity initiatives. 

    Her diversity scholarship has been recognized by The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine. She is on the editorial board of Journal of Career Assessment, Journal of Latinx Psychology, and Psychology of Men & Masculinities. She has presented and published her research in numerous outlets, including journal Cultural Diversity & Ethnic Minority Psychology, Journal of Career Development, The Encyclopedia of Positive Psychology, and The Handbook of Career Counseling for Women.  

    Labeled an at-risk youth, she is the daughter of Mexican immigrants who did not even attend high school, she has reached levels of success that only 2% of women like her ever achieve. Her mission is to empower diverse leaders to unlock their most confident selves at work without having to burn out, opt out, or “sell out.”

    Her greatest pride and joy stems from raising 3 trilingual black-brown boys.
