    Quill Phillips serves as the inaugural Executive Director of Equity & Inclusion at Arapahoe Community College and started in June 2020. She leads ACC’s Inclusive Excellence Council and has implemented an Equity Training Series for ACC leaders and staff, disseminated campus climate results, developed the Equity-Minded Teaching Academy for faculty & instructors, and developed ACC’s first college equity strategic plan. She previously served in a similar role for five years at the Community College of Aurora (CCA). She was responsible for implementing and overseeing CCA’s Inclusive Excellence (IE) strategic initiatives which consisted of training and development of faculty and staff, recruitment and retention of employees of color, assessment of IE efforts, and policy review and revision. Ms. Phillips is also the CEO of QP Equity and Inclusion Consulting LLC and curated content for the Colorado Department of Higher Education’s Equity Toolkit. She has served as a social justice educator for the last nine years and is an alumni of the Social Justice Training Institute. She was competitively selected to be a Chief Diversity Officer Fellow with the National Association of Diversity Officers in Higher Education in 2018. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies from Colorado State University and has a Master of Arts in Student Affairs Administration from Michigan State University. She is a mother to nine year-old Mylinn, whom she enjoys having dance parties with on any given day.
