    Why DEI trainings?

DEI trainings can be an effective starting point to a long-term strategy, as well as a vital course-correction when challenges arise. We encourage our clients to think beyond compliance, and beyond ‘checking a box.’

The workshops and trainings our consultants provide are entry points for transformational, expansive discussions on how everyone in the workplace can more effectively show up for one another.

    Teaching Services

At JBC, we believe in creating a training atmosphere where all participants become comfortable with being uncomfortable, and have the space and tools to recognize the ways that bias can show up in themselves and in others. We have worked with clients at all stages of their DEI journey. No matter where you are on yours, we can help.

    STANDING AGAINST ANTISEMITISM

This program is designed to deepen participants understanding and awareness of antisemitism, it's long history, and how we continue to combat the defamation of the Jewish community. Participants will walk away from the workshop with the ability to detect and disrupt their own biases, recognize in what ways antisemitic rhetoric and extremism affect our Jewish colleagues, and how to practice thoughtful allyship to create inclusive workplaces.

    INCLUSIVE LEADERSHIP

This program is designed to take you through the Inclusive Leader Continuum model from Jennifer Brown's book, How to Be an Inclusive Leader: Your Role in Creating Cultures of Belonging Where Everyone Can Thrive. Each module—Unaware, Aware, Active, and Advocate—will meet participants where they are and help them determine how they begin to step into the shoes of an inclusive leader.

    BIAS AWARENESS

Unconscious biases are created and often reinforced by our environments and experiences. In this training, we help employees understand how our brains work when we think about difference and sameness, identify potential individual and organizational biases, implement techniques for responding to unconscious bias and to limit microinequities while also implementing inclusive behaviors.

This program is designed to deepen participants' understanding of how to be an antiracist and practice thoughtful allyship. In response to the seismic changes taking place in our society and how organizations address race, this session will equip everyone to pragmatically answer the question: 'What can I do?'

    IMMERSIVE TRAINING SERIES

Change takes time. Too often we see teaching delivered as a ‘one-and-done’. With our Immersive Training Series we take a DEI Topic such as unconscious bias, allyship, or inclusive leadership and dive deeper. We spread the learning across 6 sessions with more opportunities for interaction in order to change muscle memory and drive proven results within your organization.
